Chinnor is a village in the district of South Oxfordshire in the county of Oxfordshire and has a population of 5,924. The village is situated 4 miles southeast of Thame.

Chinnor was recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086. The parish church of St Andrew dates to the Middle Ages, with its earliest record in 1160. There are other churches in the village, including Chinnor Community Church. There is a community primary school in Chinnor.

Chinnor has three public houses, a village hall and a public library. Chinnor Beer Festival takes place in August. There are sports facilities for sports including football and cricket.

Chinnor railway station is the headquarters of the preserved standard gauge heritage railway Chinnor and Princes Risborough Railway. There are bus services in operation to locations including Thame and High Wycombe.
