Kidlington is a village in the district of Cherwell in Oxfordshire, with a population of 13,723. It is situated 5 miles north of Oxford.
The town was recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086. Sites of interest include the Grade I listed church of St Mary the Virgin, which dates from the thirteenth-century. There are almshouses in Kidlington dating to the seventeenth-century. Kidlington has shops, pubs, cafes, restaurants, banks, a public library, a village hall and a weekly market.
Kidlington has several primary schools, while Gosford High School is a secondary school in nearby Gosford, and has an enrolment of 900 pupils. There are sports facilities for sports including football, cricket and rugby.
