Sites of interest in or near Trefriw include Gwydir Castle, which is 1.5 miles south of the village and dates from the sixteenth-century. The castle's gardens are Grade I listed, while Gwydir Uchaf Chapel was constructed in 1673. Fairy Falls is a waterfall in the village and are on the River Crafnant. Trefriw Woollen Mills has been in operation since the nineteenth-century and is one of the few remaining woollen mills in Wales still in production. St Mary's Church in Trefriw can trace its origins to the thirteenth-century. Klondyke Mill is a registered ancient monument and was formerly an ore processing mill.
