Llanelli is a town in Carmarthenshire, Wales. It has a population of 49,591. The town lies 10 miles northwest of Swansea and 12 miles southeast of Carmarthen.

Landmarks in the town include Llanelly House, an eighteenth-century Georgian townhouse and a Grade I listed building. St Ellyw's Church is a Grade II* listed building and possibly dates from the fifteenth-century. The Church of All Saints, now closed, is Grade II listed and was constructed in 1872. St Alban's Church is also Grade II listed and is also closed. Parc Howard Museum is a museum in a nineteenth-century Italianate country house, situated north of Llanelli town centre.

Llanelli has facilities for sports such as rugby, football, bowls and golf. Llanelli Town A.F.C. play their home games at Stebonheath Park, which has a capacity of 3,700.

Schools in the area include St John Lloyd Catholic Comprehensive School, Ysgol y Strade and St Michael's School. Coleg Sir Gār has a campus in Llanelli.
