Oswestry is a market town in Shropshire, with a population of 17,105. The current average sale price is £197,634. It lies close to the Welsh border.

Sites of interest include Old Oswestry, which is an early Iron Age hill fort in the Welsh Marches near the town. It has been designated as a scheduled monument. Oswestry has several museums, such as Oswestry Town Museum and Cambrian Railways Museum. St Oswald's parish church is a Grade II* listed building and has features dating from the twelfth- or thirteenth-century. Events that take place in the town include The Oswestry Food and Drink Festival and Oswestry Balloon Festival.

Oswestry has facilities for sports such as football and cricket. The New Saints F.C. is the town's football club, and they play their home games at Park Hall, which has a capacity of 2,034.
