Yarm is a town in North Yorkshire, and has a population of 8,384. The current average sale price is £320,057. The town lies on the south bank of the River Tees.

The town was recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086. Landmarks in Yarm include St Mary Magdalene, which is the town's parish church and was constructed during the eighteenth-century, after the medieval church was razed by fire. The church is a Grade II* listed building. St Mary and Romuald is a Grade II listed Roman Catholic parish church in Yarm. Yarm Methodist Church is also Grade II listed. Two road bridges cross the River Tees: the Grade II* listed Yarm Bridge and the Grade II listed Leven Bridge. Yarm Town Hall was built in 1710.

The town has facilities for sports, such as rugby, cricket and football.

Yarm has several primary schools, while Conyers School provides secondary education and is also a sixth form. It was founded in 1590. Yarm School is a co-educational independent school.

Yarm railway station offers services to destinations including Middlesbrough, York and Leeds. There are local bus services in operation in the town to locations such as Middlesbrough, Stockton and Maltby.
