Cambridge is the county town of Cambridgeshire and has a population of 124,900. The current average sale price in Cambridge is £435,675. The city is situated on the River Cam and is a university city. Cambridge is 50 miles north of London.

The University of Cambridge was founded in 1209 and is the second-oldest university in the English-speaking world. The university has 31 constituent colleges and over 100 academic departments. The oldest college, Peterhouse, was founded in 1284. Well-known buildings of the university include King's College Chapel, which was built during the fifteenth- and sixteenth-centuries. Cambridge University Library is the largest of the university's 114 libraries and holds 8 million items.

Prominent landmarks in Cambridge include Our Lady and the English Martyrs Church, which was built during the late nineteenth-century. St Bene't's Church is the oldest church in Cambridge, dating to the Anglo-Saxon era. St Mary the Great is a Grade I listed building and was built during the fifteenth- and sixteenth-centuries. Cambridge Castle was built after the Norman Conquest, although it later fell into disuse. Cambridge Science Park is the oldest science park in the United Kingdom, having been founded in 1970.

Other sites of interest include Cambridge Arts Theatre, which has a capacity of 666. Cambridge Corn Exchange is a concert venue with a capacity of 1,738. Museums in Cambridge include the Museum of Cambridge, the Fitzwilliam Museum, the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology, the Museum of Classical Archaeology, and the University Museum of Zoology.

Anglia Ruskin University is also located in the city and has an enrolment of 22,245. There are primary and secondary schools in Cambridge, as well as several colleges and sixth-forms including Cambridge Regional College, Hills Road Sixth Form College and Long Road Sixth Form College.

Festivals take place in Cambridge, including the annual Cambridge Beer Festival, Cambridge Folk Festival and Strawberry Fair. There are sports facilities for sports including football, cricket, tennis and rugby.

Cambridge has two railway stations: Cambridge and Cambridge North. Cambridge railway station offers services to destinations including London, King's Lynn, Peterborough, Leicester and Ely. There are also bus services in Cambridge.
