Blackburn is a town in Lancashire and has a population of 117,963. The current average sale price is £149,103. Blackburn is situated north of the West Pennine Moors and is 9 miles east of Preston.

Blackburn was a former mill town and a boomtown of the Industrial Revolution. It was listed in the Domesday Book of 1086. Textile manufacturing took place in the town from as early as the thirteenth-century. Both the cotton and brewing industries flourished in Blackburn, although the cotton industry later declined.

Sites of interest include Blackburn Cathedral, which was consecrated in 1977. Ewood Park is the home of Blackburn Rovers F.C., and has a capacity of 31,367.
