Yeovil is a town in Somerset, with a population of 45,000. The current average sale price is �£283,695. It lies near the border with Dorset.

Yeovil was recorded in the Domesday Book, having first been mentioned in 880. Sites of interest include the Church of St John the Baptist, which is Grade I listed and was constructed during the fourteenth-century. The tower of the church was built around 1480. Abbey Farm House is also Grade I listed and was constructed around 1420, and is closely associated with Abbey Barn, with which it was built in conjunction. Abbey Barn is the longest barn in Somerset, with an internal length of 31.4 metres. Newton Surmaville is a Grade I listed small park and house south of the town, having been built between 1608 and 1612.

Cultural venues in the town include Yeovil Railway Centre, a small railway museum at Yeovil Junction that was established in 1993. Yeovil has two theatres: The Octagon and The Swan. The town also has a cinema.

The town has facilities for sports including football, athletics, rugby and swimming. Yeovil Town F.C. play their home games at Huish Park, which has a capacity of 9,565.

Yeovil has a number of schools, such as Westfield Academy, Preston School and The Park School. Yeovil College provides further education.

Yeovil has two railway stations: Yeovil Pen Mill and Yeovil Junction. Yeovil Junction railway station offers services to destinations including London, Exeter, Westbury, Sherborne and Crewkerne. There are bus services in operation in the town.
