Sites of interest include Crug Hywel, which is an Iron Age Celtic hillfort and overlooks the town. St Edmund's Church is Grade II* listed and was constructed during the fourteenth-century. Glanusk Park is a country estate located near Crickhowell; it was established in 1826. Crickhowell Bridge spans the River Usk and was rebuilt in 1706; it is Grade I listed. Crickhowell Castle is also Grade I listed and is now a ruin. The Grade II* listed Market Hall dates from 1834.
Crickhowell has facilities including shops, cafes, hotels, pubs and restaurants. Crickhowell High School provides secondary education.
