Grantham is a town in Lincolnshire, with a population of 44,580. It is situated 22 miles east of Nottingham and 23 miles south of Lincoln.

The town was recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086. Sites of interest include Grantham House, which is owned by the National Trust and is a listed building. It was constructed in 1380 and has hosted distinguished guests such as Cardinal Wolsey and Margaret Tudor, queen of Scotland (and sister of Henry VIII). St Wulfram's Church is a Grade I listed building and dates from the Middle Ages; it was restored during the 1860s. The church is the second tallest church in Lincolnshire. Belton House is a Grade I listed country house near Grantham. The Angel and Royal is one of the world's oldest hotels, having been in operation since 1203. It is Grade I listed. The Beehive pub has an actual bee hive as its pub sign.

Grantham has facilities for sports including football, rugby, hockey and bowls. Grantham Town F.C. play their home games at South Kesteven Sports Ground, which has a capacity of 7,500.

There are a number of schools in the town, such as Kesteven and Grantham Girls' School (attended by Margaret Thatcher), The King's School, The Priory Ruskin Academy and Grantham Preparatory School. Grantham College is a further education and sixth form college in the town.

Grantham railway station offers services to destinations including Doncaster, Peterborough, Nottingham, London, Newark-on-Trent and Stevenage.
