Ilkley is a spa town in West Yorkshire. It has a population of 14,809 and a current average sale price of £335,239. The town is located 12 miles north of Bradford and 17 miles northwest of Leeds.
The town was recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086. Sites of interest include Ilkley Moor, which rises to 402 metres above sea level. The Manor House was established in 1892 and was a local heritage museum, art gallery and education centre. Ilkley Toy Museum houses a private collection of toys, some of which date from 350 BC. All Saints' Parish Church is Grade II* listed and has features dating from the thirteenth-century. The church was restored in 1860-61.
There are facilities in the town for sports such as tennis, squash, golf, rugby, football, hockey and cricket.
Ilkley has a number of primary and preparatory schools. Ilkley Grammar School was founded in 1607.
