Saltburn-by-the-Sea is a seaside town in North Yorkshire. It has a population of 5,958 and a current average sale price of £192,647. The town is situated 12 miles southeast of Hartlepool.

Sites of interest in the town include Saltburn Cliff Lift, which is the oldest operating water-balance cliff lift in the United Kingdom. It was constructed between 1883 and 1884. Saltburn Pier is the last remaining pier in Yorkshire, and has a total length of 208 metres. It opened in 1869 and is a Grade II* listed building. The Saltburn Miniature Railway is a gauge railway in the town and opened in 1947 as a tourist attraction.
